To protect the integrity of this project, the guestbook will close. From September 30, 2025, no new entries will be accepted. All sincere contributions that have been made until then will remain as part of the archive.
What Will Happen on September 30
On the day of closure, the website will enter a short period of scheduled downtime. During this maintenance window, inappropriate and misleading guestbook entries will be carefully reviewed and permanently removed. The goal of this process is not to erase history but to preserve only what is consistent with the intent of the project: genuine testimonies and theories related to encounters with This Man.
When the site returns, the guestbook will still be fully viewable to visitors as a static archive. However, the form to submit new entries will be gone. This ensures that what remains will be preserved as a historical record, unaltered and undisturbed by new misuse. Visitors will still be able to read past testimonies, browse the stories, and reference the archive just as before, but the interactive aspect will no longer exist.
It is important to emphasize that the rest of the website will not be affected. Background materials, case studies, reports, and imagery will continue to remain online. The only change is the transition of the guestbook into a read-only archive.

Why is this not posted through the official page on thisman.org?
The servers that we use to host the website do not allow any more subdomains within the main site. For this reason, we have moved over to an external site to make sure the main website's servers aren't disrupted.
Additionally, the news page on the main site was used for funny sightings of this man in public and was not made for news about the website itself. This site's only purpose is to provide updates on the website itself and what will happen with it in the future. We have big plans for the website and the project as a whole. Talks are underway and we can not wait to share the future of the 'This Man' story going forward.
